In the realm of international aerospace players, the United States continues to lead the world when it comes to the sheer number of its airports and aircraft.
For example, according to data from Statista,
“In 2020, the United States contributed some 80.9 billion U.S. dollars in aerospace exports. Thus, making it the leading country in terms of aerospace exports. The country is home to some of the leading manufacturers in the aerospace sector, including Boeing and Lockheed Martin.”
Along with the United States, there are dozens of nations in the world with both domestic and international airports, along with varying degrees of aerospace and aviation industry participation.
And, along with the leading nations such as the United States, there are also several other large commercial aviation markets across the globe, including Turkey.

The growing passenger traffic in the country is propelling the demand for new commercial aircraft, according to Mordor Intelligence, from the airlines operating in the country like Turkish Airlines, SunExpress, Pegasus Airlines, Onur Air, Corendon Airlines, and Anadolujet,
One result of this growing passenger traffic is an increasing demand for new commercial aircraft in the country.

HAB aims to support the domestic industry in the fields of space flight and aviation, bringing together local and foreign companies to create synergy, and to produce high value-added products and increase exports.”
The Daily Sabah story went on to report that as of January 2022, there were 18 facilities in the HAB OIZ that had been completed and invested in by industrialists, and 57 facilities that were still under construction.
When the Ankara Aerospace and Aviation Specialized (HAB) Organized Industrial Zone is completed, it will host 300 enterprises, 150 of which will be industrial enterprises, and close to 15,000 people will be employed.
